How To Create A Favicon For Your Website
Saving Your Work
Our next step is to save our work to our computers. Below the editing box you’ll see another box called Preview and it shows what your new Favicon looks like in the address bar, if you’re happy you can save it to your computer or you can go ahead and make any changes that you wish to apply. I prefer to save everything to my desktop, but we all have our preferred ways of working.
Adding Your Favicon To Your Site
The final stage is to upload your new Favicons to your site, but before we can do this we need to first install a plugin. So go to add plugins, then add new and search for “All In One Favicon” then simply install it. Once installed and activated go to settings and you’ll see it listed.
In the settings the very first column is called “ICO Frontend” this is where you load the file that you saved to your computer. Click Save Changes.
Then you go to “ICO Backend” and repeat the process, Once you do this your Favicon will show in your tabs and address bar in both your back end and front end of your site.
